About us, briefly
A family business with more than 65 years of experience in the printing industry on the Slovenian coast.
Printing began in the Velnar family in 1964, when Miloš bought the first screen-printing machine. There weren't many printers around at the time, so we consider ourselves true pioneers of screen printing on the Slovenian coast.
Today, VEK Printing House is known to many buyers of graphic services. We use modern, technologically advanced, computer-controlled printing machines that ensure fast, high-quality printing. We are a medium-sized printing house in Slovenia with a major market share in the coastal-Karst region and an enviable share across Slovenia, Italy, Austria and beyond.
Tiskarna VEK has expanded its market thanks to quality, high capacity and cutting-edge technology.

We obtain the FSC® certificate for environmentally responsible forest management.
FSC® certificate
In 2018 we adopted the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC®) policy, which advocates environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial and economically viable management of the world's forests. With the certificate, we promote the use of responsibly sourced paper and the preservation of the environment, forest wildlife and their habitat.
We care for the environment
We're aware that our work process involves environmentally hazardous substances, so modern technology allows us to collect developer fluid so it doesn't drain into the sewage system, while we also ensure the recycling of industrial water. We have a contract with a certified company for the disposal of special waste (developer, fixer and paint residues), and paper waste collection removes around 3 to 4 tonnes of paper every month.
Today the printing house produces far less noise than years ago, and we choose printing machines that use less and less energy per unit.
Our vision
We want to become a printing house that can fulfil every customer's wish in the shortest possible time at competitive prices. We achieve this goal by continuously modernising production, ongoing employee training and marketing in strategically important regions.
